Flights
Ravello is on the western coast of Italy. Most people will choose to fly into one of Italy’s major airports and then travel to Ravello from there. The two most convenient airport options are:
- Naples International Airport (NAP): This is a good choice for directly reaching the Amalfi Coast. It is the closest option to Ravello.
- Rome's Fiumicino Airport (FCO): This is another great option. You will have a longer transfer to Ravello and the Amalfi Coast, but there are likely more flight options. Once in Rome, you may choose to make your way via train to Salerno and then transfer via car to Ravello.
From the Airport to Ravello
There are numerous options to travel from either airport to Ravello, including public transportation or private car. Public transportation via trains and/or busses will be the cheaper option but potentially harder to navigate for travelers new to Italy.
1. Public Transport:
Here are links for a website that shows different public transport options (in English.) This is a third party website so we suggest using this for informational purposes and then booking directly with the operator (beforehand or once in Italy.)
2. Private Transfer:
There are many companies offering private transfer from either airport to Ravello via private car, shuttle bus, etc. Some private car transfers that come recommended are listed below.
(Also - this is the option the bride and groom are going to choose. If you want to use this option and you know your dates of travel, let the bride and groom know! They may be able to help organize groups to take a private car together.)
Suggested Hotels:
If you are booking your own hotel reservations, there are plenty of hotel options in Ravello and the surrounding areas. (If you are taking part in the group accommodations provided by the bride and groom, you will be contacted directly by them with all of the information you need for your stay.)
We suggest planning to check in on or before June 5th and checking out on or after June 8th in order to attend all of the wedding events.
Some hotel options are listed below, along with links to reserve. There are no group discounts or booking codes, but these are hotels we researched or were recommended to us by prior travelers.
Villa Maria Hotel:
(This is our top recommendation. It is the suggested hotel by our wedding venue. This is similar to a bed and breakfast. You are also able to reserve a car pick up and drop off through this villa for travel to Ravello from Naples or from Rome.)
If you don’t yet have a passport and are planning to attend the wedding, the link for information on how to apply for US passport is below. We are not experts on this - however, we suggest applying for your passport as soon as possible, but no later than March 1st, 2026.
(There are options to expedite a passport application, but they are not guaranteed.)
